The idea
Homeowners and landscaping businesses regularly over- or under-buy mulch, stone and soil because estimating the volume of irregular beds is tedious. Mulch Calculator turns it into a few taps.
Features
- Estimate rectangular, circular and triangular beds, and combine many areas in one estimate.
- Track any material, such as mulch, pine straw, stone or soil, with totals per type and color.
- Switch between imperial and metric with a single toggle.
- Pro: save, review and email estimates to customers.
Why it matters for clients
Mulch Calculator is a product I own end to end: design, development, monetization (a free, ad-supported version plus a paid Pro version), store listings and years of updates through new iOS and Android releases. It’s the same lifecycle I manage for client apps, and it’s why I plan for maintenance from day one.
