The brief
RC Radio Network produces live shows for the radio-control (RC) hobby community. They wanted a single app where listeners could tune in live, catch up on past shows and engage with the community.
What I built
- Live streaming of RC Radio, with background audio and lock-screen controls.
- On-demand archive of previous and live shows.
- Community reviews, so listeners can view and add reviews of RC and hobby products.
- Hobby tools, including the calculations RC hobbyists use and a library of reference material.
Outcome
The app gave a niche media brand a direct, always-in-your-pocket channel to its audience. Streaming media, user-generated content and utility features all lived in one app.
